BUZ POTTER MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT
This endowment was started in loving memory by the family, friends and co-workers of Buz Potter. As a long-time employee of the Aberdeen Public School District, Buz continuously demonstrated a strong commitment to education and our district's students.
In honor of Buz' great love for music, this endowment will be utilized to provide assistance to CHS students whose financial situations may prohibit them from fully participating in co-curricular musical programs, events or activities.
The endowment will provide funding based on the following criteria:
Candidates/Organizations/Departments will be associated with Aberdeen Public School District
This endowment is designated for students involved in the music programs available at Central High School.
The endowment is intended to assist CHS students whose financial situation prohibits them from fully participating in musical programs, events or activities. For example, students may receive funds to help purchase or repair band instruments, to provide partial funding for an organizational trip that requires a down payment for participation, etc.
Endowment proceeds will be distributed based on the approval of a Committee comprised of the CHS Band Director, CHS Music Director, CHS Fine Arts Director, Assist. Principal (s) and CHS Principal. Consultation is necessary with the Foundation to determine available funds per each academic year.
Due to the sensitivity of students concerning their or their family’s financial situation, recipients of this endowment will not be publicly announced.

The interest earned from these endowed funds will be utilized to provide financial assistance to students in need. Please contribute to this endowed funding source today and help students for years to come!
