ENDOWMENTS and SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS
Through the Foundation, alumni and friends of the Aberdeen Public School District can establish a lasting legacy through an endowment fund. Donors have a variety of endowment giving options. Contributions may be made to an endowment fund that is already established, or a new fund may be created in honor or memory of a class, team, individual, as a family, etc.
Once the principle of an endowment fund reaches $10,000, interest earned from the principle is then used in the area specified by the donor(s). For an endowment to be named, it must reach $10,000 within five years.
Restricted scholarship funds are another option for alumni and friends to award scholarships to students through the APS Foundation.
Through the generosity of our alumni, friends and area businesses and community organizations, the following endowments and restricted scholarship funds have been initiated to help K-12 students succeed in the Aberdeen Public School District and beyond!
