ABERDEEN, S.D. – Two Aberdeen Central High School students have been selected to participate in the 2026 USA Special Olympics Games.
CHS Golden Eagle athletes Zachary Bau and Dannica Sheets will participate in Track and Field at the games, which will take place June 20-26, 2026, at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
Bau, a freshman, and Sheets, a junior, were selected by a Special Olympics South Dakota committee. They are among only 4,000 athletes to be chosen from across the country. Joining them will be Aberdeen Coach Peggy Heermann, who was named Team South Dakota's bowling coach.
