ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Aberdeen Central Theatre Department will present its fall 2024 production, “Stargirl,” on Oct. 1, 3 and 4.
Performances begin at 7 p.m. each night in the CHS Thomas F. Kelly Theater.
Based on the novel by Jerry Spinelli and also adapted into a Disney original movie, “Stargirl” is a coming-of-age story about a shy teen who falls for a free-spirited new girl at school.
Central’s production is directed by Jennifer Lofswold, with Jessica Appl as assistant director and costumer.
The cast includes CHS students Jill Harmel (Stargirl); Joey Johnson (Leo); Kylla Aesoph (Hillary); Sam Raap (Kevin); Logan Cybulski (Wayne); Felicity Gasperich (Professor); and Zoey Pigors, Sydnei Heinzen, Rebekah Sundberg, Kya Price (students).
The crew includes student directors Isabel Mills and Luka Johnson; tech directors Brooke Schwan and Zoe Stucke; Mason Spieker and Zoe Stucke (lights); and Amelia Bartel, Reece Comes, Devik Greger, Quinn Kiefer, Nevaeh Nagel, Tahila O’Rourke, Shaelynn Radtke, Jenny Roeker, Silas Sinner-Caruth, Eh Soe, Kamryn Warrey and Sydney Wise.
General admission tickets will be available at the door at a cost of $5 for adults and $3 for students. Activity passes will be accepted.
