CONGRATULATIONS to the
CHS GOLDEN EAGLES MARCHING BAND
earning 1st Place finish in both parade & field competition at the March to the Meridian in Yankton on Saturday. The band also earned the Field Sweepstakes Award for the highest score at the competition.

On Saturday, October 5th, the Aberdeen Central High School Golden Eagles Marching Band won the SPIRIT OF THE FESTIVAL award. This award is given to 1 band who is judged for citizenship, good conduct, cooperation, and friendliness by the members of the Festival of Bands central committee. WHAT YOU DO MATTERS.

On Wednesday, 33 Aberdeen Central students attended the Educators Rising Learning Expo at NSU! CHS student Kylie Clemens, who serves on the Educators Rising state board, gave opening remarks. On Wednesday, Rep. Dusty Johnson toured ATEC Academy and visited Aberdeen Central High School, where he stopped to congratulate CHS Teacher Kerry Konda, 2024 National Speech and Debate Coach of the Year, and senior Mya Heintzman, who was chosen for the national Youth Collaboratory Program!
