Picture Day, ID pickup, and Chromebook distribution will take place on Monday, August 2nd from noon until 5:00, and again on Wednesday August 3rd from 11:00 until 6:00.

The last day of school for grades 9 through 11 is Thursday, May 20. This day will be a half day of school. Students will be released at 11:45 AM.

This is Jason Uttermark, Principal of CHS, with a bit of great news for seniors and their families. With the CDC declaration yesterday, we can now open the graduation ceremony to more attendees. Every CHS student will now be allowed 8 tickets instead of the 4 as originally planned. Given the large size of our graduating class, that will create a situation where we will be nearing capacity. Please note the TFK Theatre and the Commons area will be open for streamed ceremony viewing for those that want a little more space and comfort. The ceremony will also be played live on the school cable channel and live streamed over the district web site.

This message is a reminder that high school students will need to return their Chromebook, case, and charger during the school day on Tuesday, May 18 or Wednesday, May 19. Prior to returning the Chromebook, students will need to remove any personal items from the Chromebook and case. The Chromebook will need to be charged to at least 80%, and students should remove the shoulder strap and place it in the case's zippered pocket with the charger. Thank you for your assistance!

CHS Conferences: Thursday, April 8, 5:00 to 9:00. A – G 5:00 to 6:00 H – O 6:00 to 7:00 P – Z 7:00 to 8:00 Alternate 8:00 – 9:00 The alternate time is the time parents should come in if they cannot make the recommended time. Parents are encouraged to wear masks.

Our last day of school prior to Easter Break is Wednesday, March 31. Classes will resume on Tuesday, April 6. Parent/Teacher conferences are scheduled for the evening of Thursday, April 8, from 5:00 to 9:00. We will follow the same Covid format from our previous conferences where we ask that parents arrive at a designated time if possible. Please check our website as those times will be posted shortly. The South Dakota Department of Health has informed us that individuals in our school have been diagnosed with COVID-19. We are alerting parents to be watchful for children with symptoms suggestive of the COVID-19 illness. If your child is identified as being a close contact to the COVID-19 case, the school and SD-DOH will contact you with directions regarding a 10-day quarantine period.
