The selection committee for North Area Honor Band has met and decided on section seating for the honor band festival. Aberdeen Central High School will be represented by 22 strong instrumental musicians.
North Area Honor Band is an "All Star" band that pulls together the best high school instrumentalists nominated from across Northeast South Dakota. The honor band festival is held on the campus of Northern State University on Friday, December 6th and Saturday, December 7th . The festival concludes with a Grande Finale concert at 4pm at the NSU-JFAC on Saturday afternoon.

The Aberdeen Central Golden Eagle Gymnastics Program will have a kick off meeting for all parents and athletes on October 29 at 6:00pm. The meeting will be held in the commons area of CHS.


A 6-12 grade girls and boys wrestling meeting will be held in the CHS commons on Oct. 29, 2024 at 6:00pm. All wrestlers and parents are asked to attend.

Aberdeen Central students got an up-close look at the importance of wearing a seat belt at a safe driving event that took place Tuesday at CHS. The event, held in honor of National Teen Driver Safety Week, included a mock crash and the S.D. Highway Patrol Rollover Simulator Trailer. Congratulations to our First Round College Swag winners! During the South Dakota Free Application Months Student Services is holding a biweekly drawing of seniors who have submitted college applications. We will be drawing for winners again next week!
Also, congrats to Rebekah Sundberg who won a Echo Dot through NSU. To kickoff free application time, NSU held a chance for students to enter in to win a free Echo Dot, and Rebekah was the lucky winner!
