Golden Eagles Marching Band rehearsing this week at CHS.

ABERDEEN, S.D. – This week, the Aberdeen Central High School Marching Band is traveling to Washington, D.C., to represent South Dakota in the 2024 National Memorial Day Parade.

 

The Memorial Day Parade is set for Monday, May 27, beginning at 2 p.m. EDT (1 p.m. CDT). The parade route is on Constitution Avenue in Washington, D.C.

 

The Golden Eagles Marching Band, directed by Mr. Jeremy Schutter and Mr. John Patzlaff, is the lone representative for the state of South Dakota in the parade.

 

There are 74 CHS band members and 10 adults making the trip. The group will leave Thursday, May 23, and return Wednesday, May 29.
