ABERDEEN, S.D. – If you still need to register your child for kindergarten this fall, you can do so during spring conferences at Aberdeen Public School District elementary schools. This event is for those families who missed Kindergarten Signing Day in January.
Kindergarten registration will take place from 4-8 p.m. March 12 and 8 a.m.-noon March 13 at each of the district’s elementary schools:
- C.C. Lee Elementary: 1900 N. State St., 605-725-7500
- Lincoln Elementary: 414 S. 10th St., 605-725-7200
- May Overby Elementary: 612 14th Ave. S.E., 605-725-7300
- Mike Miller Elementary: 3010 Milwaukee Ave. N.E., 605-725-7800
- O.M. Tiffany Elementary: 819 Eighth Ave. N.E., 605-725-7400
- Simmons Elementary: 1500 S. Third St., 605-725-7600
Families should register at their home area school. (See our elementary school boundary map to determine your school.) Parents should plan to bring their child’s birth certificate, immunization records and proof of address.
The registration events will include kindergarten readiness screening, and each child will receive a gift bag with a free T-shirt and book.
