STUDENTS AND FAMILIES
The U.S. Department of Education has named Aberdeen Public School District's Lincoln Elementary as a National Blue Ribbon School for 2024.
The National Blue Ribbon School Program highlights schools that excel in academic performance or make significant strides in closing achievement gaps among different student groups. Lincoln was recognized as an Exemplary Achievement Gap Closing School. These schools excel in narrowing achievement gaps between different student groups and the overall student body.
Led by Principal Tasha Gatzemeyer, Lincoln Elementary School serves approximately 245 students in grades K-5.
Lincoln embraces academic excellence and a strong sense of community, building lasting bonds to ensure that every student shines their "Lincoln Light" both academically and personally.
“This prestigious honor is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the entire Lincoln Elementary community—teachers, staff, students and families alike. By closing the achievement gap and ensuring that all students have the opportunity to succeed, Lincoln Elementary has demonstrated a deep commitment to excellence in education.” - Aberdeen Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Becky Guffin
