ABERDEEN, S.D. – If your child is heading to kindergarten in fall 2024, don’t miss the first ever Aberdeen Public Schools Kindergarten Signing Day on Monday, Jan. 15.
This free kindergarten registration event will take place from 1-7 p.m. at Simmons Middle School, 1300 S. Third St.
Kindergarten Signing Day is free and open to all local families planning to send a child to kindergarten during the 2024-25 school year. The event will feature:
- Kindergarten readiness screening
- Free food and prizes
- Bouncy house and other fun activities
- Free T-shirt and photo with the Golden Eagle mascot!
Parents: To register your child for kindergarten, please plan to bring your child’s birth certificate and immunization records, as well as proof of address.
If you’re unable to attend and wish to register your child for kindergarten at a different time, please contact your child’s school. (See our elementary school boundary map to determine your school.) Elementary schools can be reached by calling:
