New teachers at the Aberdeen Public School District for 2024-25

ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Aberdeen Public Schools Foundation has awarded grants to new teachers in the Aberdeen Public School District to help them set up their first classrooms.

 

The Foundation gifted $200 each to 15 new teachers from schools across the district. The teachers receiving grants are: 

·         Itzel Brick, Simmons Elementary

·         Jazlynn Geditz, Mike Miller Elementary

·         Destiny Jensen, May Overby Elementary

·         Siri Kranz, May Overby Elementary

·         Sarah Gaul, Central High School

·         Joan Peterson, Simmons Middle School

·         Cassidy Olson, O.M. Tiffany Elementary

·         Kayla Jensen, Simmons Elementary

·         Alexa Worley, Central High School

·         Dawson Pfister, Central High School

·         Nicolas Olson, Simmons Elementary

·         Brooke Vitters, Holgate Middle School

·         Adam Plooster, ATEC Academy

·         Samantha Ferguson, C.C. Lee Elementary

·         Leyton Rohlfs, Mike Miller Elementary

The grants may be used to purchase supplies and items to set up their new classrooms. Aberdeen Public Schools Foundation Board Member Lynn Karrigan presented the teachers with their grant awards on Thursday.
