ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles Football Team will partner with the South Dakota Army National Guard to honor members of the military at the Eagle Fest Football Game on Saturday, Sept. 9.
The game kicks off at 5 p.m. against Sturgis at Brownell Activities Complex. All members of the military past and present are invited to attend and will be recognized before the game.
Golden Eagles football players will be wearing camouflage jerseys provided by the National Guard. Aberdeen’s local Guard unit will be in attendance to present the colors before the game and stand on the sidelines alongside team members during the game. National Guard equipment will also be on display for viewing and photos.
The Sept. 9 football game is part of that week’s CHS Eagle Fest, which also includes a soccer game on Sept. 5, cross country meet on Sept. 7, and volleyball games on Sept. 8 and 9.
Special event tickets are required at a cost of $20 for adults and $10 for students. All proceeds will support Golden Eagle athletic programs. Pre-sale tickets are available now at the CHS athletic office. For more information, call 605-725-8100.
