Our elementary schools are celebrating #ReadAcrossAmerica with fun activities and dress-up days! On Tuesday, Simmons Elementary students wore pajamas and watched a movie. At Mike Miller Elementary, students wore colorful clothing—and got a visit from The Cat in the Hat!
These second graders are celebrating Read Across America week by being comfortable in their coziest clothes and are united by the pages of “All Are Welcome.”

Students in 4th grade handled a coyote pelt, surveyor's compass, prairie dog skull, and other items as they studied what Lewis and Clark discovered in what would one day be South Dakota. The objects were part of a suitcase education kit from the South Dakota Historical Society.
