Reminder that the 6th grade Parent/Student Orientation begins with a short presentation in the HMS Gym at 5:30 pm TONIGHT (8/19). Doors open at 4:45 pm. Also, TOMORROW (8/20) is a FULL DAY of school (8:00 am-3:10 pm).

The halls of Holgate were alive again this morning as our outstanding class of 8th grade W.E.B. leaders welcomed the new 6th graders! Thanks to all who attended. Remember the open house is Monday 5:30-6:30 and school starts at 8 am Tuesday. Special thanks to Mrs.Brenner!

To All Holgate Middle School 6th Grade Parents/Guardians,
6th grade students should plan to attend WEB at Holgate Middle School on Friday, August 16th from 9:00-11:30 am. Students will get a tour of the school, practice locker combinations, and meet other 6th graders. This event is for students only and we request that students do not bring anything with them to participate in WEB. 6th grade Open House is Monday, August 19th from 5:30-6:30 pm.
Parents/Guardians and 6th grade students are invited to attend a short meeting in the gymnasium, pick up schedules, deposit lunch money, set up lockers, tour the building, and pay the technology fee ($25). We will not be selling planners this year. Chromebooks will be checked out to 6th grade students during class within the first week of school. All permission forms and the technology user agreement are located on Parent Portal for parent/guardian review and signature. If you need help accessing your Parent Portal account, please call the school at (605) 725-7700.

This week, incoming sixth-grade band students have been attending "Beginning Band Bootcamp" in the Simmons Middle School band room! Students have been meeting in "like instrument" groups to learn instrument assembly, cleaning and maintenance. They are also learning the basics of sound production and are rocking the classic "Cold Stale Buns"! 🎶🎵 #GoEagles #AberdeenPublicSchools 💙💛
