Simmons Singers Show Choir Premier tonight at the CHS Theater. All are welcome to attend this FREE event. Both Holgate Harmony and Simmons Singers will perform their competition show. Doors will open to the public at 7:00 p.m., and performances will begin at 7:15 p.m.

7th Grade Language Arts at SMS gets up and moves around when practicing skills.
Today in Language Arts, we brought "The Phantom Tollbooth" to life with Reader's Theater! Students got out of their seats to read parts in front of the class, adding energy and expression to the story. It was a fun and engaging way to explore the characters and theme together.

MATHCOUNTS students competed at the Simmons Invitational and had a great meet. Congrats to Owen E. for placing 9th out of 92 mathletes and advancing three places in the countdown round to 6th!

Youth Power members socialized after school with some friendly competition. They learned that not saying "um" is quite difficult when describing things.
Simmons Middle School library is having a House Cup Reading Challenge. For each book that is read, colored stones are added to the house jars. The House with the most stones at the end of February wins the House Cup.
Incorporating something cozy like hot cocoa with reading creates a warm and inviting environment for Mrs Moore's English learners to engage with books and practice language skills.
The 7th-grade students are off to a fantastic start as they get acquainted with one another and learn their way around the classroom. They’ve been exploring the room to uncover “artifacts” about their teacher while sharing two personal artifacts of their own to help the teacher get to know them better. Their enthusiasm, teamwork, and creativity have been wonderful to see as they settle in! 🎒📚✨
The 7th grade Medical Detectives learned about and created splints using various materials. We even had Nurse Nancy come and evaluate their work.
