The inaugural SDHSAA Esports Tournament is being held at Central High School on Feb 14 & 15. Come out to support the Golden Eagles and be a part of the largest tournament in SD. Tournament play begins at 11:00 on Friday and 8:00 on Saturday.
The Golden Eagle Gymnasts will be competing in the State Gymnastics Meet on Feb 15 in Watertown. Go Golden Eagle Gymnasts!
The AC Boys Wrestling Team will be competing in the State Dual Tournament on Feb 15.

Golden Eagle BB fans: Due to impending weather, the varsity girls game in GEA has been moved to 4:00. The varsity boys BB game in Harrisburg has also been moved to 4:00. There are no sub-varsity games.
The gymnastics qualifier scheduled in Watertown has been moved to Sioux Falls Lincoln on February 8, 2025. Sessions will begin at 9:30 and 3:30.
Congratulations to the varsity Rocket League team for finishing in 1st place in the divisional tournament! This qualifies the team for the Esports State Tourney on Feb 14 & 15! Go Eagles!
8th Grade Physical Science students having fun while learning about the scientific method, the engineering & design process, molecules, gas laws, and the period table. So much fun in fact, that the old ones sometimes come back!
Simmons Middle School parents please take some time to talk to your child and look over their chromebook. If there is any damage, please have them take it to the school library to be repaired. They will receive a loaner in the meantime and insurance will transfer to that computer until it is returned.
Big thanks to the Aberdeen Police Department for visiting our SMS ESL class! Our guest, Officer Valencia, talked about how being bilingual is a huge advantage and shared some of her daily adventures. She even answered questions in both English and Spanish—such a great experience for our students!
