The guest speakers for the March SMS International Club meeting were international exchange students from Central High School. Anna is from Germany, Oscar is from New Zealand, and Davi is from Brazil. All three students stay with host families, attend classes, and participate in extracurricular activities. High school international exchange students typically immerse themselves in the culture and educational system of the country they're visiting. These students also shared what life is like back in their own countries. Overall, we learned that the experience of being a high school international exchange student is a unique opportunity for personal growth, cultural exchange, and building lifelong connections. The SMS International Club meets once a month, and all students are invited to attend!
