It's August, and that means we're gearing up to head back to school! Here are important back-to-school dates for #AberdeenPublicSchools:

🔹Aug 4-5: CHS back-to-school days, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
🔹Aug. 5: CHS freshman and new student orientation:,7-8 p.m.
🔹Aug. 14: Open houses at all elementary schools, 3-5 p.m.
🔹Aug. 14: 7th/8th grade open house at both middle schools, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
🔹Aug. 14: 6th grade open house at both middle schools, 3-5 p.m.
🔹Aug. 15: 6th grade WEB at both middle schools, 9-11 a.m.
🔹Aug. 18: CHS school photos and student ID, 8 a.m-noon
🔹Aug. 18: First day of school - a FULL DAY for grades 1-9; grades 10-12 start at noon

🎻✨ Last week, our young musicians came together for Orchestra Camp led by the talented Mr. Joe Berns, Ms. Noelle Stubbe and Ms. Tatum Waldrop! Students worked hard, made music and built friendship.

Orchestra offers students a chance to unplug, work toward shared goals and feel part of something meaningful. Research also shows that students involved in music perform better academically, developing skills like problem-solving, memory and perseverance.
