Student Registration
Welcome to the Aberdeen School District!
Our district provides a comprehensive educational program to approximately 3700 students within a total of eight schools. There are five elementary schools (grades K-5), two middle schools (grades 6-8), and one high school (grades 9 through 12).
During the school year, parents are invited to register their child directly at the school. During the summer, registration is completed at the District Service Center for students enrolling in grades K-8. If you are unsure of your attendance area school, you may review the district boundary maps or call the District Service Center at 605-725-7100 for assistance.

Kindergarten Registration Procedure
Children admitted to kindergarten must be five years of age on or before September 1 of the year they enter kindergarten. There are no exceptions to this policy.
Students must register at their assigned school. School assignments in the Aberdeen School District are made according to the residence of the parent/guardian or the school assigned through an open enrollment or transfer request.
A certified birth certificate and immunization records are required at the time of registration.
